Good News Clubs - Sharing the Gospel and Good News of Jesus with Children in Linn County
From the beginning, the Good News Club® has been at the heart of CEF® ministry. Clubs meet once a week during the school year in public schools, community centers, homes, churches, and other locations.
Thousand of after-school CEF Good News Clubs are being held in public schools nationwide. Since the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision in June 2001 confirming the freedom of access to elementary public schools, clubs have been opening up even in districts that denied permission for years!
Although CEF has many strong outreach ministries to children, Good News Clubs are especially important. We work in cooperation with public schools to supplement the children's education with biblical principles. Sound Bible teaching not only helps children grow spiritually - it also has a positive impact on their personal and home life, school performance, and decision-making skills.
Members of the community and local churches can partner with CEF of Linn County and start reaching children through these school-based clubs today. Contact us to find out more!
5-Day Club
During summer months, children gather in backyards, community centers, parks, and other locations for five consecutive days to hear Bible lessons and a missionary story and join in exciting games and activities. Our well-trained teachers and volunteers clearly present the Gospel at each 5-Day Club.
Members of the community are encouraged to reach out to us if they'd like to host a 5-day Club. If you're a church, we can help you host a 5-Day VBS Club in your community, too. Contact us today!
CYIA - Christian Youth In Action
Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) is a summer missions program developed and run by Child Evangelism Fellowship® staff and volunteers. CYIA is a week-long training school to teach teens and give them opportunities to practice and apply what they learn:
- To effectively share the Gospel
- To lead a child (or anyone) to Christ
- To teach the Gospel and growth applications through Bible lessons, verses, and songs
- To excite children about missionary work
- To maintain classroom discipline
Students learn all this while also growing in boldness and courage, becoming more passionate for Jesus Christ and serving Him, and emerging a Godly leader and example for others.
Contact us today if you or someone you know would like more information. Applications must be submitted by May 1st of each year.
